Why Regret Your Past?

If you view the news, a lot of supermarket magazines, the Internet and other media, the main point of an attack on someone is attacking their past. This person did this and that person did that!

Or maybe you haven't done as well as your wished and made decisions that led you astray from that. Ever regretted not doing something?

Possibly your past was something to be questioned, condemned or scorned. Maybe that is your present situation. What can you do about it?

Point #11 of the Code of Honor gives and answer:
"Never regret yesterday. Life is in you today and you make your tomorrow".

Regret is a very low emotional state and does more harm than good. A better solution is to rise up and look forward to facing the challenges of tomorrow. You have the vigor and energy to do it.

Now this code doesn't mean do not have take responsibility for what you have done or are doing if it's bad or not desirable and want to change it. Not taking responsibility is probably what got you in the situation you're in. Just don't stay in that state of regret and look forward to tomorrow.
